How We Got Our Start
Hello!
I'm Allen Bedford, here is little background information on me, why I chose sweeping and my training.
The main reason for training to be a sweep for me was family. After working for years in the customer service and hospitality sector the hours no longer suited my home life. I was missing too many bedtime stories for my children Elliott and Primrose, not enough quality time with my wife of 10 years Nicola and not forgetting play time with Rufus the Cockapoo! With my Son Elliott starting school I would've see even less of him and so I needed to do something about it.
Fast forward to today and after completing my training with Glen at The Chimney Sweep Academy I am fully accredited and insured. As a member of the Chimney Sweep Academy I have all of the latest information available to me and technical assistance on hand if required.
Already I have plenty of sweeps under my belt and gain more expertise each week. Getting around in my converted Mini, I have everything I need packed in to provide the quality service my customers expect. Nicola also provides some admin support and we always aim to book neighbourhoods together to reduce our emissions.
I genuinely love what I do now! I get to meet new people, keep them safe and warm all whilst fitting everything around my family.
